Grading Policy

Grades will be divided into two main categories for all core class:
• 50%-Formative assessments (examples but not limited to: daily work, quizzes, CFAs,
bell work, etc)
• 50%-Summative assessments (examples but not limited to: tests, long-term projects,
extended writing, presentations, etc.)
All core classes will have a minimum of 10 formative grades and 4 summative grades per 9
weeks.

Late Work Policy:
Students must have all late work turned in for the first half of the grading period (up until
progress reports) one week from the progress reports being handed out. All late work from the
last half of the grading period must be turned in by the end of the 8th week. No late work will be
accepted the last week of the grading period. A maximum grade of an 80 will be given on any
assignment turned in late.

Ms. Martin's Retake Policy:
Students may make corrections to any graded math assignment. Corrections must be completed on the appropriate form (you may pick up a copy from Ms. Martin's classroom) and turned in no later than 1 week from when the graded assignment was given to you. You may earn 1/2 credit for each correction.
