Welcome to Mr. Willhoit's Math Classroom Page

My name is Mr. Wilhoit and I am a 7C Math Teacher here at Blackman Middle School. The main purpose of this site is to provide my students and their parent(s)/guardian(s) with a number of links to equip them with resources to help support and guide us through the journey of 7th grade mathematics and time here at BMS. Please note that information and resources specific to daily lessons are found on my Schoology page, and this is accessed through the student's CLEVER.

I highly encourage you to link up on my Class Dojo site for your student's Block Class. There you can readily communicate with me and I post annoucements and such.

ARE YOU ABSENT???: Please look at the Power Point for the month of the day you are absent. This Power Point is found under my Schoology in the folder of that month. In that Power Point you will find the day's lesson: tasks, problems, exit ticket, etc.. Also, you need to complete the Topic's Practice and Problem Solving under Envision's Success Realize. If the Topic for example is Adding Integers: Topic 1-3 then you would look for the current assignment of 1-3 Practice and Problem Solving. Success Realize is found by clicking on SAVVAS through CLEVER.

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF:

I am entering my 23rd year as an educator. The majority of my years spent in education were in midddle school 7th or 8th grade Math (includes teaching Algebra at the 8th grade level). I am first and foremost a Christ Follower. I am a husband (married 17 years) and father (two boys now in middle school). I grew up, went to college, and served my first years of teaching in California. My wife and I moved out to Tennessee about 16 years ago, and we absolutely love it here. Things will be just about perfect when we get an In N Out Burger. I am an avid sports fan. My first love is the NFL and I very much have two teams: Minnesota Vikings and the Los Angeles Rams. SKOL and Horns Up!! I then enjoy soccer: Go NSC!! When I can I love to hike and be in search of the next waterfall. I also run on a regular basis. The countryside of TN makes this an incredible experience for both. As a teacher, I always look forward each and every day to building key relationships with my students as I challenge them to grow and have a mindset of YET.

As of 8/21/23 this site is currently under construction and will be fully up and running soon for resources.
