2023 Blackman Robotics Team:

Each Fall, the Blackman Robotics Team competes in the Music City BEST Competition - a hub of the National Tournament.  The season is a 2 Month (possibly more) challenge to create a company that Designs, Builds, Presents, Markets, and "Sells" a robot specifically designed for a task.  The top 3 teams per hub are then invited to compete at the Regionals at Auburn University.

Just like a real company, Blackman Robotics has 2 different divisions that allow students of differing areas of interest the opportunity to work in their area if expertise or interest to produce a final product.

Blackman Robotics offers the following sub-teams:

ENGINEERING:
  • CAD - Digital Design
  • Programming - Electrical and Code
  • Build - Constructs the Robot

MARKETING:
  • Booth - Designs and Builds the display booth
  • Graphic Design - Media and Team Look
  • Community Outreach - Build Community Connections

Becoming a Blackman Robotics Team Member:
Tryouts will be in the form of a PROFESSIONAL RESUME'!  If you have never made a resume' before fear not, There are numerous templets found in both WORD, Office 360 and online.  Include any applicable info that shows you would be an asset to the team.  I know you are limited because you have no long work history or an educational pedigree so it's up to you to GET CREATIVE!  Have fun and make yourself sound good in what you have done.  Showcase any accomplishments, activities, experiences, talents, or attributes you may have, from both in school and out, that would set you apart from the herd.  Remember your goal is to convince us you are the right person for the job.  If you have anyone that wants to give you a recommendation that help set you apart as well but it is not necessary to apply.  The Resume' is absolutely necessary!

YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR RESUME' READY TO UPLOAD WHEN YOU START YOUR APPLICATION!!!!

GOOD LUCK
