I want to be sure you are aware that I am always here to help you in any way possible.  For you to be successful this year, we will all need to be respectful, responsible, and engaged.  You are the Best of the Best and this year is going to be amazing!

Welcome students! My name is Lucrecia Gregg and I am so excited to have you in my class this year.  This will be my 25rd year teaching in Rutherford County.  I graduated from MTSU with my Bachelor's degree in 1998 and from Cumberland University in 2006 with my Master's degree.  I have been married to my husband Eugene 25 years and we have an 20 year old daughter named Olivia who helps me coach the archery team at BMS.
Middle school is a time of many transitions in every students life, so you need to establish some goals to help ease some of this change.
  • I recommend you challenge yourself to stay organized this year.  Be sure to check your grades in Skyward weekly (at least), check your 365 email weekly (if not daily), take notes in class and keep those in a composition book/spiral notebook/3-ring binder, strive to turn in all work on time, and take advantage of grade improvement options when they are provided.
  • I also challenge you to be proactive in your academic studies.  Do not procrastinate when given assignments, this just adds undue stress to your life and usually your work does not meet your potential.  Also, set up a study schedule to review your notes10-15 minutes nightly. You will be surprised how much this helps you retain information and be better prepared for test.
  • Be an active learner!  If you are engaged in the learning during class, you will have a deeper understanding of the concepts and be able to become a stronger problem solver.
  • Be respectful/Be kind.  We will be collaborating in randomly assigned groups on a regular basis.  Students must respect the thoughts, feelings, challenges of their classmates in order for us to have a productive, thinking classroom.
