Welcome to 7th Grade English Language Arts!

Hello! My name is Ms. Swenson and I am thrilled to be your guide through the exciting world of English Language Arts this year. I have a passion for literature and writing, but most importantly student success! 

Education & Experience: I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English Secondary Education from the University of Colorado. My journey as an educator began 4 years ago as an 8th Grade ELA teacher and volleyball/basketball/track & field coach! I am so excited for this new adventure with 7th Grade! 

Teaching Philosophy: I believe in creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where every student feels valued and empowered. My teaching approach is student-centered, focusing on engaging lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for reading and writing.

Beyond the Classroom: When I’m not teaching, I enjoy exploring the beautiful state of Tennessee! I am a Colorado native and moved out here over the summer!
