Upcoming projects and due dates

 NHD National History Day  Visit the Tennessee History Day Regional Competition website here. http://www.tennesseehistory.org/tennessee-history-day/regional-contests/middle-regional-contest/ and the National History Day website Here.  The link to the rule book is in the Links section of this web page. The mid-state competition at MTSU is on Friday, February 23. 
 
Independent reading:  An independent novel is due Monday, February 26. Consult your chart, and select the genre and project type that you have not yet chosen.  This month, add the option of a SE-YA book and a summary if you wish to attend the book festival on March 9.  Books must be grade level or above. Not sure of your book's Lexile level?  Look it up on the Lexile website: https://fab.lexile.com/ 

                         Lexile levels:  6th:  665-1000

                                               7th:  735-1065

                                               8th:  805-1100

                                               9th:  855-1165

Wordly Wise

     Tuesday A-D are due. 

     Wednesday  E is done in the computer lab, typed in TNR 12 pt. font, double-spaced, vocabulary word underlined or bolded.  Reword the question in the answer, and answer in complete sentences.  It is a test grade. Share with me on Office 365.

     Thursday Fill in the Blank open book quiz based on E. 

     Friday is the test.

Final copy of historical fiction narrative essay based on NHD research is due Wednesday, February 21.
