Beta Club


If you are not receiving the text message reminders about meetings, you can sign up for this service by doing the following:  text  @bmsbetac to 81010.

In order for you to be able to plan, we are posting the dates for all the Beta meetings this year. When it is a progress report meeting, students need to bring their most recent progress report with them, and when it is a report card meeting, then students need to bring their most recent report cards with them.

Welcome back to school! We are looking forward to a fabulous year!!!! We will have our first meeting of the year in September. This meeting is ONLY for students who are already members of Beta, not for students who want to join. Any 7th or 8th grade students that joined Beta at another school last year may transfer their membership. Any 7th or 8th grader that wants to transfer membership should bring their Beta membership card to the meeting. If you can't find your card, come to the meeting anyway. 

First meeting of 2017-2018

When: Friday, September 8 @ 7:00 AM

Where: Room A111 in the annex

             Enter through the front door of the ANNEX building

What to bring:  Your progress report, paper, pencil, and a cell

                           phone if you have one.

7th or 8th graders wishing to transfer membership need to bring their membership card with them. 


Parents of incoming 6th graders. We know that many elementary students were inducted into Beta Club in elementary school. We are thrilled that elementary students participated in Beta Club, however, we want to ensure that there is not a misunderstanding about the transfer of membership. Students who join Beta Club in elementary MUST rejoin in middle school. Due to national guidelines, we CANNOT transfer membership from elementary school to middle school. We will accept new members second semester and have our induction then. In order to be eligible to join, students must NOT receive any grade less than a B (in all subjects, including electives) on their report cards. Additionally, students must NOT  have received ISS (time out included) or OSS. We expect our Beta members to be role models academically and behaviorally. 

It will be in either January or February that we make the announcement that we are accepting new Beta members. At that time, students who meet the eligibility criteria may get a Beta Contract from us to join. Information will be announced on morning announcements as well as posted on this web page.
